The lampies go to America

In 2008 The Lampies are going to America. A terrific company called Porchlight Entertainment in California have agreed to bring the light of the Lampies to the USA and Canada. In the middle of this year Porchlight Entertainment will be producing DVDs that will be available in a range of stores accross America and Canada. The Lampies Children's Animation

A traditional hand drawn animation series for children aged 3 and above with award winning music, fun characters and engaging storylines.

Created by David Bonner in conjunction with Uli Meyer Animation Studios and music by Mcasso Music, there are 52 x 11minute episodes that were origionally commissioned by the BBC.

The early part of the decade saw a sucessful Christmas record, Theatre productions and a wide spread of merchandising behind the BBC broadcasts of The Lampies in prime time slots.

TV distribution rights for Series One were sold into 33 countries.

Unfortunately financial issues caused the creative and business drive to faulter and momentum was lost.

In 2003 The Lampies IP was bought from the receiver by a private investor.
